For those of you who play an MMORPG, this is a video of hell.

I just hope Leroy doesn't get signed up by a recruiter. This guy is bad enough in virtual reality.

BTW, while I haven't played too many MMPORGs, I was impressed by the tactical planning the group was demonstrating - except for Leroy.

Guild Wars doesn't have QUITE the level of one-person-screws-over-an-hour-of-work-for-fifty possibilities as WoW, but I feel their pain. I've had one too many missions where someone rushes ahead and draws in everything in sight to pound on the group.

That said, Leeroy fucking rules.

There is a video, if I can find it, of what can happen with even the best laid plans on a big pull. It's what can happen when you pull a dragon, accidentally run too close to the spawn of a second dragon and then they start to summon help. There are bodies everwhere, those Leroy Jenkins guys think they have it bad, I'd guess there was at least ten times as many bodies on the ground on the dragon pull gone bad.

They shoulda let him go in and die, then do their regular plan. Actually, since Leeroy was the only one who needed anything from the room, they should've let him go in and die, then left.

You know, I played the Guild Wars demo, and I have been considering buying the game. The 'no monthly fees' is a big draw, although, unless they have escrowed money to continue with the upkeep, I can see where their business plan might fall apart in a year or two.

There are now 3 addons for WoW where you type /leeroy and it does a sound emote (for those who have the addon)...

"Leeerooooy JENkiiiiiiiiins!!!"

And the emote message says,
(character) invokes the power of Leeroy Jenkins.

Freakin awesome....
