Favorite summertime drinks

Jaguar's pimm reference and the approach of summer put me in the mood for some hot-weather drink recipes. Here's one we used to do around the 4th of July.

Hop, Skip & Go Naked
1 handle of vodka
1 12-pack of beer
2 cans of frozen OJ or lemonade
1 liter of sprite
a bag of ice
a styrofoam cooler

wash out the cooler, dump in everything else (sans packaging), stir and serve in whatever container you like

It sounds horrible, but tastes like creamsicles and will have you flat on your back within 2 hours. What better way to spend the summer? Last time I had it, we went to watch fireworks from Horsetooth dam and I made out with two girls that my brother now tells me were probably in high school. They looked older, and they are out of college by now so the statute of limitations is past. \m/

I haven't had it in a couple years, so I'll have to recheck the proportions. of the drink.

Brass Monkey:
Get a 40 oz of Olde English, drink it down to the top of the label. Fill with orange juice, mix and chug.

Cranberry juice (the 100% kind, not the "cocktail" shit) club soda, lime and ice.

Hey! I'm trying to get sober! Gimme a break!

And, well, obviously, mojitos.

Mrs Lookout makes some drink (by the pitcher of course) that the girls all call "Granny NaNa's". i know that it is strong, purple, and has lots of Vodka.

In the A/C:

Guiness or another fine stout
crown royal
Booker's single barrel
quality cognac

buy canned pineapple and/or tropical fruit cocktail. Stuff it in ice cube trays and freeze. Throw the cubes in a blender with any fruit juice, fresh bananas or other fruit and a generous amount of Bacardi rum. Oooohhhh yeah :jig:

Not a drink, but great in the summer... Cut up a TON of your favorite fruit (melons work great, pineapple, etc.). Soak in a LOT of rum... I like the sweet stuff for this, like Malibu or vanilla Stoli or even Capt. Morgan. Let sit in the refrigerator for several days to a week. Put it in the freezer the night before you plan to partake. This is really great on a hot summer day and goes well car camping.

Oooh, another one, but this is NOT for the kids:

Super Frog
Mountain Dew
Lemon-Lime Gatorage mix (powder)
Grain alcohol
Ice

Generally it's about:
3 parts mountain dew
1 shot grain
1.5 scoops of gatorade mix
Enough ice to make it slushy
Blend and serve.

If the grain doesn't kill you, the sugar rush will.

Margarita on the rocks (sorry, I cannot stand frozen drinks).
Vodka tonic. This is Skyy or Grey Goose, preferably the latter. I'll try differrent vodkas, but I always come back to these.

Home-made lemonade (not fizzy)
Pina Colada (but soooo 1980s darling)
Strong coffee
Good ole' water with ice and a slice
Anything served in one of those poncy cocktail glasses that are completely impractical
