1/3/2005: Lively Russian war reenaction

Around my area, southeastern Pennsylvania, we get a lot of war reenacters. Valley Forge is here, Gettysburg, and that Delaware River that Washington crossed (which they reenact every year to show how hard it is).

But we've got nothing on the Ruskies. Here, Russian soldiers in WW2-style uniforms are reenacting the Soviet Union's defeat of Hitler's armies in the Battle of Moscow last month.

Interesting picture. Couldn't have been easy rounding up the museum piece tanks. Those aren't something you can stitch up in your spare time like a Civil War uniform. :D Also the tank in the center looks a bit like a German Tiger tank. There were none of those in production yet during the 1941 battles outside Moscow.

Still...like I said interesting pic. Wonder if they'll re-create the Battle of Stalingrad next.

The nice thing about tanks is that you can get a pretty good blaze going on them and still use them next year. :)

Aiming technology must have come a long way since WWII. I mean, those guys are firing point blank...

I think the Tiger is tailgating. :)

The allies need to call in some air support (f2 f5) to take out that armour, so that they can claim the flag.

Yes, I play a lot of BF1942.

Thanks a lot, Tweek. You sank my battleship.
