Making the switch...
Downloaded Firefox tonight....
Because I was damn tired of wrestling with the Quicktime plug in in my IE to make my audioblogs sound halfway human.... and I only have one thing to say... WHY didn't I do this before? Soooo pretty! Thunderbird is on the list of things to do tomorrow. Dag |

I've found Firefox to be a pretty good browser once you download all the extentions you're used to having in IE. I've had to switch to IE a few times to view or open some things that Firefox doesn't support but I'm happy with it overall. I guess that's why they still have the 'View this page in IE' option. The tabbed browsing is great too. Thunderbird is by far the best email program I've ever used, very convenient and easy to use. I have yet to receive any spam through it! |
One thing I was told is that if I switched to FF< I would need to keep IE for the simple fact that the automatic Windows updates are not supported through FF. (not that I want them pushing ANYTHING On me automatically)....
But it's definitely no longer my default. Dag |
Okay...here's a snag......
I can send FROM Thunderbird to myself (it shows up in my outlook), but if I have outlook shut down, and send from Thunderbird to myself (or from my gmail account to myself for that matter), it tells me I have no new messages on my server - and I can't get the mail. Any idears? |
