Pittsburgh-area flooding fun
It is highly possible that these do not belong in 'Quality Images', because, as pictures go, they're pretty crap. I am not so much a photographer as a collector of cool stuff, and when I saw a three-foot deep torrent of water shooting across my driveway, I felt I had to photograph it. So, enjoy ....

works fine for me, though it might be private....here, have some URLs instead

Your creek runneth over. Nice digs. :)
Sorry, I shouldn't have done that. After I posted a broken link, I tried it again and it worked. Thought I could delete it before anyone saw it, ....bad form. :o |
I wish you could send some of that rain down here (NSW, Australia). We are experiencing the worst drought in 100 years. 96% of the state (NSW), is drought declared. We can only water our gardens during restricted hours, three days a week, and there are rumours that even this will be banned soon.

Quality Images is about far more than a pretty picture. Interesting content is first and foremost, or so I believe. Flooding is interesting, especially when it happens to one of the Cellar family.
Hey, I posted a crappy picture of a hummingbird sitting on a wire. It was a crappy picture, but it was a hummingbird, sitting still, on a wire, in my backyard. That made it a Quality Image. |
Crap, that's right: I forgot you lived aside ye olde moate there.
How bad did Plum get hit? All we had here was some mild landscaping damage and my friends rafting down the creek (read: sewage treatment plant runoff) yelling "Fuck you" to The Man (read: director of housing that's become their personal archnemesis for all the parties they've thrown thus far) |
