Johnny Ramone has lost his battle with prostate cancer. Even if you are not a Ramones fan, their music inspired some of the bands you do like.

You know, my wife mentioned this earlier today, and I was certain that he had already died. I guess I had heard he was sick and one of the other Ramones died, and I mixed them up. Anyway. It's sad.

Joey & Johnny are dead. Only Marky & Tommy remain. :((

Dee Dee is no more as well.

They were all such young men. Terribly unfortunate. Their influences were broad and profound.

Well, poop. Didn't know anyone had started a thread on the topic, and I started on in Entertainment.

Marky wasn't a founding member; he joined (I think, don't quote me) in 1978.

yuppers, lets raise a glass of PBR (or wheatgrass :) ) in rememberance (without those bastards.. meant with affection..I never would have picked up a guitar)
