It was clearly the weight problem. The 'I won't fight an Israeli' bullshit was just an excuse to make him look good. You can see the PR Officer's delight as the spin of the century enters his fervour-gargled brain. A home run for Iran, in Iran. Another reason to hate them for the rest of the world. Oops.

I don't hate them, Catwoman. I think it was ingenious! Here's a guy who is overweight for his sport and wouldn't even have been able to compete due to it and he takes what would have been a negative (for him) and VOILA!--turns it into a personal positive and becomes a symbol of patriotism for his country! That's more American than he knows! He took an odious belief and had people rally 'round it!

So THATS where James Carville has been working!
