8/27/2004: Fawn and dog befriend
http://cellar.org/2004/fawnanddog.jpg
wolf shares this link telling the story of a fawn, found by a family under their step, seemingly injured and not in good shape. As they nursed it back to health, their dog Hogan, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, befriended it and now sleeps with it. Eventually the fawn will be raised by more experienced friends and sent back into the wild. |
How do they know that the dog befriended it as opposed to simply waiting until it is a better meal?
|
How sweet! That dog is gorgeous.

Most dogs will befriend any animal you "introduce" it to. I think they can sense your love or fear, of the critter. :)
