Howard Dean recap/summary
Howard Dean is still an asshat.
|
|
David Yepsen, a political columnist at the Register says so, not the actual paper itself.
And besides...who really gives a fuck about Dean anymore anyway? Oh sure, Kerry is kissing the Deaniacs' asses, but those folks probably would have voted Dem in the end anyway. |
Awright. Back at the computer. Gonna hafta bat for the Dr.
So he's an asshat for calling politics when he sees politics? How dare he be outspoken when we are at war. First there is Ridge, uses the announcement as a blantant political message, reminding us not only to be more vigilant but to also remember that GW Bush has excelled in keeping us all safer. Just after reports of his stepping down. There must be a lot of pressure. Is the claim that the terror alerts were used politically by Rove, Bush and co horrifying? Yes. Definitely yes. Is Rove known for leaking to the press sensitive and at times false information? Yes. Has the identity of a CIA operative been used as a political weapon by this admin? Still under investigation, lawyer up. Could this administration be playing politics with war? Maybe. Just maybe. Unfortunately it is not an outrageous idea at all. Bloggers, perhaps fond of tinfoil, have cross referenced approval #s with terror alerts. Correlation is not causation. but still... Just maybe. Been done before, even with war. Lives sacrificed for power and the presidential election. Just learned today from newly released tapes that Nixon and Kissinger delayed the pull out from Vietnam till after the election. Who would have thought that treason possible at the time? Some. But now proof. Regarding the recent arrests and the hightened alert, I read on CNN that the British arent buying the news, infact theyre pissed that the guy captured in Pakistan who's computer held the new evidence was outted, identified to the press, before they could fully mine his connections. They rushed to pick up 14 or so suspects before they vanished, and now looks like several might be lost due to lack of evidence. Their point is that the detail desired by the US govt in flashing this capture actually damaged counterintelligence efforts. So is seems at the very least, if not evil, the Bush team is again, incompetent. |

Obviously the terrorists are just more active when Bush's ratings are down.

Well I just read an article about our wierd relationship "subcontracting" out the hunting of Bin Laden to Pakistan. According to Salon writer Husain Haqqani, the leaked name of the Al queda computer wiz came first from Pakistan to Reuters, then another leak from Pakistan putting it on Washington...
My appologies to Karl Rove! We have some kinda wierd relationship going on, dangerous bedfellows. |
