VP Advice for Kerry

Now that we're all agreed that Bush has to go ;) who should Kerry choose for VP? Is there a VP candidate who would help you choose the ticket or is it just a reinforcement of a decision already taken? I'd like him to choose somebody who opposed the war, but barring that maybe someone with a reputation for fiscal responsibility. A polite no thank you to the trial lawyer from Dixie. How about Biden?

Buchanan and Begala said on Today that they think Kerry will choose Gephardt...God I hope not!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and pick a few completely unexpected peeps...because I think the decision will surprise everyone in the end:

--Rep. John Conyers, GA
--Sen. Zell Miller, GA
--Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, TX
--Gov. Bob Holden, MO
--Sen. Patty Murray, WA
--Rep. Nancy Pelosi, CA

If Pelosi is the pick I'm voting Bush. That woman is a class A moron IMO.

Zell Miller will be speaking at the GOP convention so its safe to rule him out.

Kerry would never pick Pelosi. He will pick someone designed to lose the fewest number of votes and who will not upstage him.

You mean it won't be http://cellar.org/showpost.php?p=111040&postcount=14 Bill Cosby. ;)

[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE] -- In a stunning development, John Forbes Kerry today named himself as his running mate. In an email note to one million supporters and journalists, Mr. Kerry wrote, "The Kerry/Kerry ticket is all about inclusion, diversity and opening the flaps of the big tent we call the Democrat party."

The presidential hopeful said his VP pick "not only sees eye-to-eye with me on most issues, but also opposes me on most issues. No matter where a voter stands on any issue, he'll find what he's looking for in the Kerry/Kerry campaign."

Damn. Zell Miller shoulda run for President.

Him and Ron Paul.

Now there's a ticket.

elSicomoro 07-06-2004 09:03 AM

Boy, I called this one, didn't I? ;)

I'm a bit disappointed, but my vote isn't changing. Hell, Kerry could have picked Mickey Mouse, and my vote wouldn't have changed...b/c Mickey Mouse would have made a fine VP. :)

Wait a minute...this news came out over an hour ago...and I'm the first person to mention it? Jesus Christ...you people are slipping...hard.

So it's two Johns vs. Dick and Bush.

Ron Paul I could live with. Zell Miller should be running for Secretary-General of the Eighth Circle of Hell.

I am quite pleased by the selection of Edwards, as for once the Democrats didn't screw it up. Lieberman was such a dictionary-definition of "mistake" that he made Tom Eagleton look like an inspired choice.

Who better to straighten out the health care problem then the man who almost single handedly caused malpractice insurance, hence health care costs, to skyrocket. :yelsick:

And then later he pretty much admitted that the medical basis for the lawsuits that milked a number of insurance companies and drove a number of doctors out of business was, at best, dubious.
