Frist Cancels Veterans Benefits Vote to Spite Kerry

I just heard an interesting story over the radio. Kerry canceled a trip to New Mexico to vote on the reauthorization of veterans benefits. Bill Frist then cancelled the vote because he didn't want Kerry to be able to "parachute in" and vote. He then called for Kerry to resign from the Senate.

If that is accurate, then Frist is an ass. No room for defending that type of behaviour.

I never agreed with his politics, but this crosses a line.

"Senator Kerry, who hadn't been here all year, who's missed 80 percent of all votes this year, parachutes in for a day and then will be taking off once again," scoffed Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a Tennessee Republican.
Hey assfuck: he's trying to become the next President!!!!

And at least Kerry is a veteran, so he knows. Can't say that for dumb old Dubya.

Quote:

""If we hung around, Republicans could just delay the vote again," a senior Kerry aide said. "They are just playing games with us."
Exactly.

Maybe Shrubbie is fucking up so bad, that the Republicans are actually concerned that he might loose the presidential election for them? What a nice thought! Perhaps in their concern over loosing power, they are desperate enough to openly fight dirty, thus revealing even more closely the true nature of the Shrub administration.
