Typhoon
Hi folks. I was crash posted from Perth to Sydney four weeks ago to complete a promotional requirement course. The intensity is doing my head in and time is of a premium. I have to do a presentation on the russian 'Typhoon' submarine. You know, the big one in the 'Hunt for red october'. I've tried the usual sources but I've failed to turn up any decent hi-res colour images. I don't have the spare time necessary for an exhaustive web crawl so if anybody knows of a site i'd be eternally grateful.
Cheers and thanks in advance. |
Spent a few minutes poking, because I'm a nice guy.

Am I going to get a friendly visit from the NSA because I was curious and looked at the pictures too?

Thanks muchly Skunks, Bruce. Ain't she a big motherfucker! And Wolf, I wouldn't worry about NSA. I'm betting they've been watching you for years. Thanks again, I'm looking forward to re-entering the fray when the heat's off. |
I'm guessing that you've tried Jane's already?
|
Jane's is our bible and it's the only source I can reliably quote from. If I'm asked questions, which I will be, and the answers are disputed, I can say " but that's what it says in Janes. " For example, different sources have this thing with a submerged displacement anywhere from 22,500 tons to 38,000tons.
so, yeah TS, but thanks anyways. |
