The Changing Face of Iran

.......Things are not always as they seem.....Nowhere is this more the case than Iran.....At first glance it seems to be a very oppressive country....But it is also a very young country and the youth of Iran are less happy to accept strictures than their parents were. They never knew the Iran of their grandparents they never knew the world their parents grew up in and fought so hard to change through revolution.....If the young dont buy into an ideology it really does start to look like it's shelflife is going to be a short one.

Fascinating little insight into this on the BBC website. Surprised me anyway.

Young Iran

Thanks for bringing this up. More people should be aware what is really going on rather than forming assumptions from misinformed news stories and propaganda.

The youth never matter, except as tools (as a previous generation was for Khomenei). By the time they attain power, if they do, they've become older and adopted the mindset of those in power before them.

Umm it was only these people's grandparents who changed the face of Iran through revolution....difficult to call up a true pattern across 50 years
