Attack of the Gulls
A fun, new hobby discovered at the beach:
Find a child that is willing to stand still for at least a full sixty seconds. Place bread on the child's head. Wait. Yoink! http://fox.org/~vince/photos/out/yoink_small.jpg Little bastards poop everywhere, though. (The birds, not the children. Maybe both?) |
Nice shot Kitsune. Photographing birds can be a real challange. This guy took a picture, in his rearview mirror, of a baby owl trying to land on his car antenna.:)

Perhaps the gull is trying to pull the brain out of the kid...I smell a b-movie here...
|
from a distance, it looks like a scene from 'birds'
|
Now NBN wants you to take a follow up shot only with a naked woman with bread between her breasts.

I'm curious what this said before the edit. :D |
On closer inspection, I just now noticed that I managed to catch little explodey bits around the bread. Neat.
http://fox.org/~vince/photos/out/poof.jpg I wish I had the shutter timed a bit faster, though, as there was still too much light and so a bit of blurring, although I think the wing blur looks neat. Seagulls are endless fun/hell. If you have a tame enough pack of them, you can get them to hover just above you in midair and they're good enough that they'll catch bread that you toss to them while they are in flight. Makes for good pictures. And there is nothing quite like tearing a roll in half, lobbing it like a grenade into the middle of a crowd at the beach, and watching the maddness. That also makes for good photos. |

I hit an D instead of an N in NBN - nothing startling but it would have ruined the comment had I left it. |
Leave the blur in. It imparts motion and definitely adds to the picture.:)
