35 Years with Jennifer

I decided this wasn't IotD material, but yesterday Instapundit pointed to this and said "A superficially ordinary, but hence quite moving, photo gallery."

I get more sentimental as I get older.

reminds me of "jenny" from forest gump

do we know this person or something?

Undertoad 04-20-2004 10:09 AM

Nope, it's just some anonymous soul living a life.

Notice the difference between 2000 and 2003. Jennifer decided to diet and/or exercise.

Wow. This is a great website. I'm a little amazed that this guy is sharing this with the world. It's like he's inviting us into his marriage.

I think she's a true beauty. Not one of those girlie or barbie like persons. Just ordinary beautiful without changing anything and she stays beautiful during here life and that's a true sign of inner beauty... Lucky man

Nice. There are too few stories of happy, long-lived marraiges these days. The "to be continued" sentiment is very cool.

I am both moved, and a bit depressed. Had my first marriage survived, I would be marking my 26th anniversary this year. Seeing the continuity of this couple's relationship through the obviously loving photographer's eye takes me a bit aback, and makes me more than a little melancholy about my own fate.

Although my present wife is wonderful and a perfect partner for me, the nagging thought of my previous failure will scar me forever. Love is both the greatest blessing and the most profound curse of a life, ya' know?

To hell with it Elspode, just blame it all on her and enjoy what you have.:D

Great link, UT. She is beautiful.
I noticed there was a shortage of pictures in the '80 to '87 period. That would be the 6 or 7 years after they had been together 10 or 11. Also it would be when the daughter would be in the 5 to 12 range. Probably a hectic, demanding time and a strain on them both. But they hung in there and life got better.
Sorry, I really don't know what I'm talking about.
