Triple moon shadows on Jupiter
Those of you who are astronomy geeks may be aware that when one of Jupiter's four large moons crosses between Jupiter and the Sun, you can see its shadow on Jupiter with a relatively modest telescope if everything is lined up properly. Back in March there was a rare opportunity to see the shadows of three of the moons at the same time. Jason Hatton captured the whole thing in a series of images which you can see combined in an animation here.
