I have a new toy.
I plan to kill a feral hog with it.

Two questions...what the hell kind of sighting device is that on the crossbow, and what the hell is the "putting the crossbow to good use" picture showing us?
Oh...and don't you ever sleep? :D |
i send the boy to Academy for some 357 magnum bullets and this is what he comes back with!! a box of 150 count 9mm, a crossbow and a freakin' target!! LOL! that's a laser sight on the crossbow but he deperately needs to learn how to sight it in. one of the bolts is still in my back yard somewhere.
hey Tim, didja shoot any holes in your walls last night? |
Always send him with a written list that he just has to show the nice man at the counter.
You oughtn't be playing with that in the living room! You could put someone's eye out (or their liver or spleen). And what about the dog? I want one. |
Why do you have it in for the pig?
Did he kick your dog's ass or something? |

Answers to your questions
The crossbow is a Barnett RC-150. A bit on the low-end for their line but quite sufficient for my purposes.
Els, the 'bow to good use' pic is a frame capture of the video seen here: <a href="http://www.myrefrigerator.com/videos/Die%20Osama!.wmv">Die Osama!</a> I hope that explains it. |
My accuracy is in question
Well, allow me to <a href="http://www.myrefrigerator.com/videos/Nice%20shootin',%20cowboy!.wmv">retort!</a>

what's a small javelin to a javelina?
|
I have two observations on the videos, NBN.
1) You need a tripod desperately. 2) You have a very smart dog (running out of the room before the weapon is discharged). Looks like a fun toy, though. |
We still haven't narrowed down why pig's gotta go.
Did it dig up your flower garden maybe? |
they're rooting areas about 20 foot by 20 foot which leaves a huge hole in the ground and basically mutilates the ground that they root in. they also run off the deer. since they've "moved" in, i haven't seen a single deer one. that and they're good eatin':D
