Are you a Neocon? Take the quiz.
Neocon Quiz
Pretty interesting quiz. The answers (as with any quiz), don't always fit exactly what one would really answer, but hey, it's still pretty good. And I turned out as a Realist. |
I love the tag at the end: "Results are not scientific." Thanks for clarifying that for us!
Anyway, I took the quiz and it said I was a "fucking wingnut." |
"Isolationist" Is that another word for wingnut?
|
Liberal
Liberals… Are wary of American arrogance and hypocrisy Trace much of today's anti-American hatred to previous US foreign policies. Believe political solutions are inherently superior to military solutions Believe the US is morally bound to intervene in humanitarian crises Oppose American imperialism Support international law, alliances, and agreements Encourage US participation in the UN Believe US economic policies must help lift up the world's poor Historical liberal: President Woodrow Wilson Modern liberal: President Jimmy Carter |
I came out as a "Realist". Which as we know is a pessimist who has been proved right too often.
|
It claims I'm an isolationist which I've been accused of before but that's bullshit.
Isolationists don't want to trade or deal with any foreign countries. I am all for maintaining trade, making peace treaties that don't include promising to use our military to defend any nation but our own, etc. The simple truth is the US Military is not here to defend any nation but America and even then only when we are attacked. The fastest way to start a world war is through entangling alliances and complicated treaties. WWI showed us that these sort of treaties cause a dispute between a couple of nations to pull dozens of other nations into it and cause millions upon millions to die. Being a military non-interventionist and an anti-imperialists doesn't make you an isolationist. |
It said I was a liberal.
Maybe in a classical (Founding Father) sort of way. |
Liberal. It's wrong.
|
I got liberal as my 2nd one and I agree with you. I"m not a liberal in any sense of the word other than a classic liberal (Libertarian). I'm also not a conservative.

Isolationist
The term isolationist is most often used negatively; few people who share its beliefs use it to describe their own foreign policy perspective. They believe in "America first." For them, national sovereignty trumps international relations. Many unions, libertarians, and anti-globalization protesters share isolationist tenets. Isolationists… Are wary of US involvement in the United Nations Oppose international law, alliances, and agreements Believe the US should not act as a global cop Support trade practices that protect American workers Oppose liberal immigration Oppose American imperialism Desire to preserve what they see as America's national identity and character Historical isolationist: President Calvin Coolidge Modern isolationist: Author/Commentator Pat Buchanan I've always known I was an isolationist. |
Liberal.
Actually, I consider my self moderate-liberal. Which, considering how far right the administration is swinging, probably counts as liberal. |
