What's MLK blvd like in your town?
Everybody think about it.
|
MLK Blvd is crack alley here...you don't want to accidentally turn there, even during the day. Even the cops don't like having to go there.
I don't get it...why are MLK Blvds like that? It's akin to having, say, a "Jesus St." that's a full of athiests or something:confused: Sidhe |
M L King Drive in St. Louis (formerly Easton Ave.) is a festering shithole, except for the small portions that run through downtown. It is littered with vacant lots, burnt out buildings, high crime and broken dreams.
|
MLK in Baton Rouge is the I-110 (mostly elevated) expressway to North Baton Rouge. It's a dangerous place if you drive the speed limit (you'll get run over if you don't)....

funny...
MLK Blvd in Baltimore is only bad in certain parts, but the area that's more near to downtown isn't bad at all. ;)

What, no "There is no street named for Martin Luther King in my town, you insensitive clod" option? ;)
Seriously, no street here (Reno-Sparks, NV) by that name that I know of. |
I don't even know where it is in Eugene. I just know that it exists, because people griped about the shallowness of naming a street after somebody at the same time as you sort of ignore what he stood for.
When I get my new camera (backordered), I'll find it and take a photo. Maybe. I'll probably forget. |
It is the former Centennial Blvd., near Autzen Stadium. This was one of the MLK streets that was discussed on the show I saw...apparently, there was a hell of a fight to get it renamed.
