A Baghdad writer pieces it together

http://www.geocities.com/baghdadeebl...tIraqisWin.htm

That link may come up all question marks if you don't have the Arabic character set installed, but the second half of this page is your basic Baghdad resident figuring it out. Fascinating. He doesn't come to a final conclusion, but his reasoning is amazing to watch.

Quote:

The one we had experienced, was America/CIA and conspiracy, encouraging and help killing and oppressing people. We had noticed that during Iraq/Iran war, during the Iraqi uprise post Kuwait war, in Lebanon during the Israeli occupation, anti Palestinian policy. It's support for all those Tyrants in Jordan, Egypt, Suadee, Turkey, Iraq, Israel. . That is America that we use to..

No more worse that what to be..

So what happened to America? In Iraq , America stands up a lone against all the world powers trying their best not to liberate Iraqis. Muslims/christians/jews, communists/Salafees, Arabs/non Arabs. America never gave up, insisting on liberating Iraqis, scarifying all wealth and blood.
OK, that is the Iraqi perspective I've been talking about: ...somehow all those other assholes didn't want us liberated! What's up with that?

The guy follows that up by debunking, from the Iraqi point of view, every other rationale for the war.

The only rationale he doesn't mention is the real (IMO of course) reason: having a load of Iraqis seeing the US as he sees us, as no longer the CIA brokering cold war power, now we are killing them with kindness and becoming close friends, which will forever change a large part of the Arab world's perspective and upset the broken apple cart.

Via http://baghdadee.blogspot.com/ - Yet another Iraqi blogger. And if you visit there with a browser that can read Arabic, the comments sections have ordinary Iraqis and Americans talking to each other via a translator.

Well not to nitpick, well I guess to nitpick, but he didn't address the little one about the dollar supplanting the Euro as the foreign currency of choice.

If he's never heard of that particular conspiracy theory that should tell you something.
