At the risk of being overly, well, *descriptive*, I'm betting that the successful completion of this stunt is largely dependent on the supporting structures being thoroughly erected prior to the installation of the decorative items. If I were engineering this particular display, I would first utilize manual digital stimulation (colloquially known as "tweaking"), followed by a brief application of localized temperature reduction.

Oh...and silicone implants to make the now-firm supporting structures stick out more.

I'm surprised you didn't throw in a discreet back brace, to keep the back arched at the proper angle.
