Whoa -- that's awesome! It looks so sad, though.
I have a friend trying to grow these things and he indicates that it is not the easiest thing the world to do. Plus, with my green thumb, I kill every plant I try to bring into this world or take care of. |
Nice picture Bel, did you take it?
People love orchids for their large showy genitalia.:) |
Took it and grew it. I have a few hundred of the things hanging around my house.
Here's another http://forum.theorchidsource.com/attachments/pet.jpg Kit, tell your friend to hang out at http://forum.theorchidsource.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi and they will learn lots about growing orchids |
It's plant porn!
|
Look Ju, it's gay plant porn! It's natural! ;)
|
Most of them are hermaphrodites.
|
It was a very poorly conceived and delivered joke mocking Ju and the notion that homosexuality is natural.
|
It depends on what you mean by natural but since it runs at about 10% in the population (in every culture over time) and probably has a genetic basis and is seen in almost any vertebrate species, I would say that it is natural or at least naturally occuring as opposed to man made.
Or should that be made by man? |
Ok, you made your point. We'll pick this up in the gay marriage thread when I have completed some research.
|
Bel have you seen the jetcityorange site ? He's done a lot of orchid photography.:)
|
Huh, nice. I tend to go in for the more unusual. I also like to photoshop them a bit too. My friend (who did most of these photos) and I did up a bunch of stuff for Cafe Press but as along as you don't click on any of the actual images, you won't be bothered with the sale stuff.
Anyway, here's some fun play with orchids http://www.awakeandhungry.com |
That's great.:thumb:
