Pokey - Super Dog!
 

I have a shep-lab mix named 'Pokey' who is quite athletic. This picture was originally taken sometime in 1993 when my wife and I lived in Presque Isle, La. (Near Houma, La.) It appears that Pokey is scaling the wall; she's really jumping ( and grabbing) a small piece of wide rope (her playtoy) which is hanging off of the eave of the roof (unfortunately just out of sight of the photo ) . She finishes the smooth stunt by actually back-flipping on her way down.

My apologies for the quality of the picture. I dug out the photo-albums for this one and I don't have easy access to a flat-bed scanner (so I improvised with my digi-cam.)

The dog was born on Feb 20th, 1992 and is still catching squirrils in the backyard. (seriously, she's gotten 3 of them this year)

Pokey is really cute. I'm glad to hear she's still active at 11 yrs. old. :)

One of my dogs (about 3 yrs. old) caught a gopher today and almost killed one of my cats as he walked by her precious kill. :eek3:

Do you have any other pets?

Just some fish....not really pets..
