New Grill

I just picked up the George Forman propane grill. I got it from the QVC outlet. I am considering swapping it out since they just lowered the price again to about $30.

This is intended to be a replacement of the Red Devil propane grill which was technically recalled, but which I found very useful at the Plastic Forks BBQ.

The downside is that the George Forman does not grill over an open flame, but a nonstick griddle, much like the George Forman electric grills. This means its more of a McDonalds/diner kind of grilling instead of a Burger King.

However, anyone who has ever seen me doing cleanup on this grill can appreciate the attraction of a grill with only 2-3 parts which need to be cleaned afterwards.

Also, I am hoping that the Forman grill will solve the problem of hot dog roll-off caused by the Red Devils raised cooking surface.

I was most impressed by the way the grill breaks down into itself to become a wheeled cart.

Stay tuned, since I may put the Red Devil up for sale. It's still a nice portable grill.

Rich,

You ever figure out how to get rid of those little coleman tanks?

I have a few, and don't want to move them next week (can't put them on the moving truck anyway)

Nope, I am waiting for the yearly hazardous waste collection in my area. I only have 2-3 empties since I normally use a standard 20lb tank with an adapter.

Sorry

The hillbilly in me says target practice...but that would be irresponsible.

Sure, once you blow them up, they're not hazardous any more.

But with that little recommendation, I'd need this thing called a Gun....

And last I checked, I don't have one :)

(But Wolf and Brian say that'll change some day *G*)
