Quentin

(Photo courtesy of KSDK-TV, St. Louis) Meet Quentin. Quentin is a Basenji mix who was supposed to be euthanized with other strays at the City of St. Louis Animal Control Center Tuesday. He was put into the gas chamber with the other dogs, and they were all euthanized. All of them except for Quentin...he lived. His reward? He was sent to a no-kill shelter; named Quentin, after San Quentin prison in California; and will be made available for adoption soon. Great story...and how appropriate for the dog days of August. This is fascinating .. so now we're breeding dogs for resistance to poison gas? Will these be use to help conquer the mid east?
|
I wonder what kind of gas they were using. Most places stopped using poision gas in favor of a vacuum pump to remove the air. It's cheaper and safer for the attendants and environment.
Of course this is a better solution.:D |
Dog people amaze me. "Dogs have emotions AND it's okay to kill them."
?? |
What's the problem? Arabs have emotions.:p
|
That's true, but we don't exactly kill Arabs just because they don't have a home.
Could this be the solution to our nation's homeless problems? Just "put them to sleep"! It is humane, after all. |
It would go a long way toward solving the drug problem too.
"Okay, this is your fifth request for rehab this year. You have been through four 28-day programs on state funding and you haven't remained sober long enough to even make it out of the parking lot. Get in the back of the van." (wow. you have no idea how much i would REALLY like to say that) |

The first person on the list--Juju. ;) |
