Oct 20th, 2019: Russian retiree paints satellite dishes

Notice the folk art, the art of the common people, who put art everywhere. There's no place art can't go, really. So here is Russian Yuri Kuznetsov, who decided upon his retirement to take up the hobby of painting; and, for whatever reason, decided to paint satellite dishes. http://cellar.org/img/satpaint3.jpg To an artists' eye, there are thousands of white canvases, attached to every other house. Why not paint them? He uses acrylic paints and automotive lacquer, so as not to interrupt the signal; it appears to work. http://cellar.org/img/satpaint4.jpg http://cellar.org/img/satpaint5.jpg from English Russia |
The copper roof and service from three satellites don't really fit with the rest of the house.
Low angle dishes. Beautiful painting, though. |
This is great.
This may be in Russia, but the blue-painted one looks like china.<--See whut I did there?:D |
I'm not keen on folk art, but these are cool.-
