I don't get it, I could see dumping excess product on domestic non-English speaking people. But who is the market excess from?
Hard for me to believe there is an English speaking nation or any group who would buy the shirts in Children's sizes.

My other thought is that English words hold a fascination for non-English speaking people.
Similar to westerners having Chinese, Japanese, and Korean hieroglyphs they can't read, tattooed on their bodies.
Therefore shirt makers can copy any English words from everywhere, but I wonder if the shirt maker reads English?
If he/she can, are they goofing on the peasants

I suppose those were printed for Thailand but how big a market can that be, bound to have a surplus. I suppose having a Billion people who don't do English is kind of insurance you'll break even.

Yeah, I would expect that many Chinese ppl are product-starved, also. They'd buy anything/everything.

From my observation here in the Philippines, all the shirts that don't sell in their intended market come here, as you said.

The t-shirt from the losing team of every US sporting event ends up here and they're nice shirts! But no one cares that they lost their title.

Also, guessing here, micro youtube start up t-shirts, political cause shirts that didn't sell in the US and trend types of t-shirts that shifted quickly and are no longer relevant.

Sometimes I ask someone that's wearing a strange or funny t-shirt, "that's a funny shirt, do you understand what that means?"

Most of the time it's some American slang(tm) that they do not understand. If they did, they wouldn't have bought it.

I assume the adults are wearing them too, The photographers take kids and editors pick out the ones with kids, for better shock value.
