It isn't stated but i think the people who made this add are Peter Fischli and David Weiss they did a film called <i> The Way Things Go</i> back in 1987. The film is alot (30 min.) more of the same type of thing.

My favorite part (of the add) has to be when the exhaust pipe gets hit at the begining i love the tention the noise creates and how long it takes for it to get arround.

it should be noted that this took some 600 takes to get right (606 I believe). The only part that is fake/digitally enhanced is the muffler rolling across the ground. Even the tires are real - they were weighted with screws and bolts to get them to roll up hill.

I did a Rube Goldberg device (which is what this is styled after) in high school as the final project to a science class. 10 (or more) steps to put out a candle. Definitely very fun, and, I think, something everyone should do once.

Where did you get the info on filming, dave? I'd be interested in checking that out.
