I think there are just two now:

(1) Attention Whores. People who want publicity, any publicity, willing to get arrested to get it.

(2) Martyrs. People who want to go ahead and make our day.

This isn't that far off from today.

If you look at what happened in Ferguson, you had people there genuinely protesting against the Ferguson power structure. Then you had some overcome by groupthink...and those looking for cover to cause trouble. Most of those arrested weren't from the immediate area around Ferguson.

Crowds and emotion are neat drugs.
