Sleep

I wonder hove these people lost touch with real life? Certainly were never parents. What happens in that last hour of nothing?

lumberjim 11-11-2016 09:05 PM

Step 2, stop drinking alcohol 3 hours before bed. Or... Drink a big glass of water and then switch to doubles and pass the fuck out.

Sleep is highly overrated.

Ya can sleep when yer dead.

infinite monkey 11-13-2016 12:14 AM

Yes, but if you have jobs, because you have to pay the rent and shit, and no choice except to get paid for actual work, you tend to get the value of what little sleep you are afforded. Just saying.. jhc

Or you can just lay around with no value. Great choice.

You sound a little jealous.

And kinda snarky.

The older I get, the more my body craves routine. I love sleep.

monster 11-26-2016 08:10 PM

I hate sleep. I hate lying down, I hate bed, I hate trying to be asleep and I hate that the world carries on without me. I'm not very good at sleeping. And I do most of those things. Most.

But if you work long hours, when are you supposed to do the other shit that is life? they (mostly) don't let you drink alcohol and read The Cellar at work. Eight hours is overrated. If you keep it down to four, you don't get into that deep sleep bit and it's a hellalot easier to wake up.....

xoxoxoBruce 11-26-2016 08:25 PM

Yes, but eventually you'll burn out without that deep sleep. Hopefully when you do lie down you'll be tired enough to go into it quickly.

monster 11-26-2016 09:27 PM

tired enough or drunk enough is usually the plan

elSicomoro 11-26-2016 11:28 PM

My wife and I bought a Temperpedic a few months ago when we moved into the new place. It seemed rather overpriced...then we slept on it. Worth every penny.

Griff 11-27-2016 07:49 AM

I sleep a lot better with my new(ish) job, attitude, routine, and my jaw and teeth appreciate it as well.

lumberjim 11-27-2016 09:21 AM

Since I've had a CPap, I've gotten much much better sleep. I can do with 6 or 7 hours and be fine. I find that if I get up after 6 to pee, then get back in bed for another hour or two and don't wear it, I'm groggy all day. Apnea must be exhausting.

It is, I have had a CPap since March of '99. And I love it. You should never lay down without it. Remember Reggie White died because he went to sleep without his.

lumberjim 11-27-2016 11:01 AM

Really?
