High School Art Project

This kid in Indiana made a US Flag for a high school art project. Now all these people around him and his mother's facebook friends, are saying how wonderful it is, and what a great tribute to the troops.

The flag, the symbol around the world of the United States of America, constructed of 4,466 red, white and blue solders in full battle gear.

I find it offensive. It isn't how I want to see us presented. It's not a tribute to the troops, it's a tribute to the politicians who have misused and abused the troops. Maybe if they were marching, or standing ready to defend, but not in combat, that to me makes it a bully flag.

It's not up to you, or me, to decide what it's a tribute to. It's the boy's piece of art, his work, his tribute.

But, I feel ya. I see where you're coming from.

Would you rather it had been seven thousand Macedonian soldiers in full battle array?:p:

Or five corpulent porpoises?

Sure it's his the way he wanted. It's mom's facebook friends, the school, and the media singing praises saying it honors the troops that bothers me. Damn bandwagon jumpers. :crone:

I thought he made it as a tribute. I assumed. I shouldn't assume.
