When Limey follows Elizabeth on the throne, I heard this will be her personal seal. :D

Poking around online I discovered a picture of Limey. http://cellar.org/2014/whistling.gif

A baseline Kirk developed to make it easier on the jaw in long parades.

Nothing sexier than a woman with her horn hanging out.:jig:

"Pardon me, baby, but, your brass is a little dull. Lemme shine that up for ya.";)

Then one can take it up a notch, although the marching part is out.

Thanks! I've got one already. If I put them together do you think they'd produce a litter of recorders?

xoxoxoBruce 05-19-2016 07:24 AM

I should have known. :smack:
I don't think I've ever seen one before.

Serpent: great to see one actually played, I never consciously heard one though.

Here are a couple more for the 'litter':

The euphonium ...

... and tenor horn, both played by friends of mine down in Devon.

@Bruce - lub ya! x
@scriveyn - that's a classy looking euph, and a cheery looking friend!
PS I can't actually *play* that serpent, I was just parping through it. I have an unstarted project planned to get to grips with it. There are no fingering charts for serpents, and especially not for mine which is pretty unusual ...

They're the kindest people ever ... :joylove:
I'm listening right now as they perform live on BBC Radio3's Intune! You can probably find it on the iPlayer, the first 18' of the show and then again from minute 30 onwards.

Mike & Kate Westbrook's "The Uncommon Orchestra" , a 22-piece big band including a sousaphone ;)

(depending on the personnel from Duo to Big Band their band names have varied over the years)
