Unemployment
1 Attachment(s)
Is this a cause or symptom of high unemployment?
|
why the different heights for the different genders? Either a certain height is necessary to perform the job or it isn't an issue.
I smell a rat. could be baked into a donut? |
On the Reddit thread for this, someone has suggested it might be from the Philippines.
|
Male height would be average for a Filipino, but tall for a female
Country Philippines Average male height 163.5 cm (5' 4.4") Average female height 151.8 cm (4' 11.8") |
They probably need to be able to see over the counter, and ~2 inch heels are assumed for women. (Even a comfy shoe can have some heel to it.)

Ah ha, heels! I think infi's got it. That makes complete sense.

Critically important is for employees to be no more than 5'4". Then the boss will be taller than his employees. And therefore will be smarter.

Ford went thru the early 2010's pretty much unscathed by the big banks.
Now the United Auto Workers union has regained it's voice and influence. This headline got my attention because I own a Ranger, and was very disappointed when Ford announced they were killing production of this model pickup. Detroit has habitually promised future rewards, and the UAW has always bought it. That's what damn near sunk GM, making promises then instead of funding them out of enormous profits, threw the money at stockholders to win the hearts and minds of Wall Street.
It's unusual to see such a generous nod to retirees, Ford's are not contractually obligated to include them in negotiations. However Ford is well aware that retirees, under the UAW bylaws, are allowed to vote on the contract. Historically, many of them do. |

My Dad was very active in UAW even after retirement, so I suppose that was in GM's contract too. All that is probably where I got my "liberal" indoctrination. |
I believe it's in all UAW contracts, even at Boeing Helicopter.

Unemployment sucks. As does underemployment.
That is all. |
In many ways, so does employment. :haha:
|
I am working 15 hours a week, and travelling another 15 hours a week. And I am about £60 per month worse off than before I got the job ;p
|
That's crazy, if you don't have a net gain, it's not employment it's something else, I'm not sure what to call it. You need a motorcycle... with a puppy sidecar.;)
