Happy Mother's Day

I hope all of the mothers in the cellar have a wonderful day. I know some of you don't have children, but you are "mother" to a precious pet. Some of you might even be mother to a panda.

God bless you because their is no greater love than a mother's.

Happy Mothers Day! Even if your Mom isn't here any more.

I took my wife out 4-wheeling with me. She isn't a big fan of it and worries about every hill we encounter but hey, it was Mother's Day so she came along. As I turned to go down one steep hill my front right wheel dropped enough that my left rear wheel was up in the air which really screws up your traction. We sat and the car rocked a bit and she kind of freaked out. I told her she should just get out and I would reposition the Rover. She screamed "NO WAY!" as she thought the car would just roll over on her. Finally two friends that were behind caught up and stood on my rear bumper to lower the vehicle so I could back up.

I guess next year I should just take her out to dinner!

Most people only get one Mom.

I've been a lucky man. I have three.

How did you manage that?

Gravdigr 05-13-2014 01:31 AM

My late friend John, that I've posted about? His mother is just a saint. She's been a second mother to a bunch of us. I told her that if anything happens to mine, she's gonna be my mama. But, she'd be my third, because my cat-napping neighbor's wife is my second mama. She's been my sitter, my nurse, loaned me money, she's kissed my booboos, and more than once she's tanned my hide when I needed it. And with a boy just a year younger than me, their house was like my own, I don't know how many times I've slept over, or how many meals I ate over there. She's ten times the person her husband is.

Sigh......I think I would sell my soul to have my momma back. She was in a coma when I got back from Iraq and died a few hours after my return. She never knew I made it home. Sometimes I wish my momma could hold me one more time and make me feel so safe

I guess she would have to be, to be with a guy like that.
