HELP!

I have to complete a sequence on an interview for for another part-time job.
I thought I was good at this sort of thing, But I just can't work it out at all.

These are all written as proper arrows, but I can't remember how to do those.

a) Up, left, down
b) Down, left, down
c) Right, up, left

I know this is cheating, but it'ts hardly a demanding job.
I think it's another way of whittling down the thousands of applications they get. Don't know your arrows from your elbow? Straight in the bin.

Need to get this in store tomorrow, I'm quite late in the game apparently.

Left up left?

Twist the pattern 90°
No, wait. ...

DanaC 10-05-2013 01:45 PM

Up left up?

DanaC 10-05-2013 01:46 PM

Jesus Christ, what job is this? They expecting you to join the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D?

jimhelm 10-05-2013 01:49 PM

line one vs line 2 = opposite, same, same

so right, up left
== left, up, left

leaves you feeling felt up and left.

Left up left

Clodfobble 10-05-2013 02:39 PM

I vote left-up-left as well.

DanaC 10-05-2013 02:42 PM

I'm shit at that sort of thing.

Sundae 10-05-2013 03:16 PM

Apparently I am too.

No, it's not for a member of S.H.I.E.L.D.
And it's not for Asda, but does remind me of the egregious sketch, "Oh, come off it Ross! Shoving trolleys round Asda car park? A frigging monkey could do it!"

From about 2.16.

Although LJ came up with the answer it was Clod's brain that clinched it.
In fact I suspect she has already not only worked out the store I am applying to, hacked into their vacancy database and reset all the parameters to ensure I get the job.

Or maybe just had a healthy snack.

The trick with these types of puzzles is that usually 1 and 3 have nothing to do with each other. 3 is semi-random. The real question they're secretly asking is, if input 1 turns into output 2, then what does input 3 turn into?

John Sellers 10-05-2013 03:42 PM

left, up, left, right-punch, down, uppercut, fireball, dragon kick, killer combo. Sundae wins...flawless victory...fatality.

lumberjim 10-05-2013 05:10 PM

Ha doh ken!

Was the answr in that video?

I's a standard act/sat type question.

So did we get it right? I expect you don't know. ;)

infinite monkey 10-06-2013 12:28 AM

Yeah, standard act/sat type question. Did you answer us or was the answer in the video we won't watch.
Or was it a slurpy suck ass event?
Hope you got your job with The Kids from C.A.P.E.R.
