How cool is this?

Tomas Holmstrom's (Redwings recently retired) son plays house level hockey (the most basic competitive level). Thor's team have played their team twice in the last couple of weeks and each time he has come into the locker room to sign sticks and helmets and pose for pictures.

(and Thor and his son have the same number -not #96)

Add your cool things....

My head is on a billboard in New Jersey

First one to make the "its actual size" crack wins the thread.

Well you'd need something the size of a bil....

Lil Griff drove up to Cornell Sunday to hang out with her nerdy friend and comes back understanding calculus better.

Is her friend Asian? [/wacist]

Griff 10-01-2013 08:35 AM

Actually no. In some parts of the country white ice-hockey playing kids graduate a year early, go to college, and rock the sciences... seems strange though like its not part of the official narrative.

That's a nice drive, and Ithaca is gorges.

Are you rolling with that bumper sticker now?

glatt 10-01-2013 09:14 AM

Nah. We don't do car stickers. But it's true that the place is beautiful and has lots of gorges. I never knew.

I passed through once when we were on tour. As I recall, the city kind of appears before you unexpectedly. Is there a big smoke stack or bridge or something that says ITHICA on it real big?

Griff 10-04-2013 06:39 AM

Not that I recall. The city does appear quickly because its down on the inlet of Cayuga so you top a hill and there it is from 2 directions anyway. Ithaca Gun may have had a stack bitd. Now you see the lake and Cornell's bell tower. There is a power plant further up the lake but its hidden.
