Look what last night's rain brought me! :D About a pound of yellow morels! These two were pretty good sized! From my palm to the tip of my middle finger is 7 inches. :yum:

Holy Moley those are BEAUTIFUL! What a great find! How did you cook them? details please please please ....

This year has been rather bad for me. I've gone to a few of my regular spots only to find that someone else was already there. :( I didn't see much sign of whether they got any though. Then last Saturday I got a call from a buddy who said "One o' them brain things is in mah yard come an git it afore I cut the lawn." I found three. That was, BY FAR, the biggest I've seen or heard about around here. They just don't get that big here - the morels that is.

We're at least a week behind the US. Watched Amuse-Bouche this week. Confirmed all I needed to know about mushrooms.

After an over night salt and water brine, rinse,egg bath and flour fried in unsalted butter, nothing else. Your mushrooms look like greys they seem to be smaller than yellows..
