Call Me?

Someone, anyone?
I've had a few drinks but I've stopped now and am completely conversation-capable.

Just a bit sad and sorry.

Time here is 20.23.
No calls after 21.45 please. Not because I'm planning anything dangerous! Just because the 'rents retire early and would not be happy.

Calling, calling ... I'm here, Sundae.

orthodoc 05-04-2013 02:39 PM

Ringing busy now - hopefully you're chatting with one of us, Sundae. Check in a bit later, okay?m

I have a great new habit.
Alcohol kills appetite, so I've worked out I can chew up a mouthful of something and spit it in the food bin.
So it can be a sausage roll or a Twix or some cheese & crackers or whatever.
Because I still want to lose weight. And what I crave is not weight-loss food.

I did eat tonight. Tabbouleh and roasted veg. And I swallowed it all.
But it was all I ate today. All I swallowed anyway.

I'm pretty much fucked.
And you know what? I'm still not even a size 16. I still feel like a fucking heifer.

I'm sorry you're feeling bad, Sundae. I'm not sure if you have diet restrictions for health, but if it's for weight loss, you need to eat. Just try not to eat fattening food. Tabbouleh and roasted vegetables sound healthy enough, so don't beat yourself over it. What I do when I want to reduce my snacking is to drink water. Whenever I crave for a snack, I drink water, plain tea, black coffee, and lots and lots of water. Seriously, drink lots of water and go for a walk. If you're hungry and it's at night, drink a glass of skim milk then go to sleep. Eat fruits, nuts, plain yogurt with fruits, nuts, etc. when you want a snack. Don't let yourself go hungry because you'd lose control and eat whatever rather than being disciplined enough to eat healthier alternatives. Don't beat yourself up. Losing weight takes time. I hope you had someone to talk to earlier. Sorry that I didn't see this thread til now.

I tried calling but was engaged. Think you may have been talking to a dwellar.

You ok m'dear?

orthodoc 05-04-2013 06:30 PM

I was able to call through after a few false starts. We chatted for quite awhile, so it would have been me tying up the line. It was great to have the chance to speak with Sundae; really enjoyed our conversation. She was very patient with my poor hearing!

Aliantha 05-04-2013 11:17 PM

Oi, what's going on Cherry? I hope you're not still drinking. Don't tell me I need to call and give you a piece of my mind too?! I don't have much to spare, so it could be disasterous.
