Photo Recovery From Camera
Buddy has some pics for church of some playground equipment. He shot the pics cuz some of the equipment doesn't follow rules of logic as far as assembly is concerned. They bought the stuff from the city park, and he shot the pics of the assembled equipment. Now it's been sitting for a while, and no one remembers how some of the stuff went together.
He usually has a card in his camera, but didn't when he took these pics. They're on the camera memory, or, were. They got deleted. But, he's almost positive he hasn't put any other pics on the camera memory since then, so they should be recoverable. None of the half dozen (free) programs I tried will "see" my camera memory. They all will recover from a card. But I don't got no card. I need a free file/photo recovery program that will recover from the camera itself. Anybody know of anything like that? Any help received would be greatly appreciated. |
Tried Recuva? http://www.piriform.com/recuva

The content of digital camera may suddenly become corrupted, damaged or inaccessible due to several factors including accidental or intentional deletion of images, improper formatting of storage area and virus attack. All these factors may create severe issue of data corruption leading to tremendous loss in valuable data. Use of Kernel for windows data recovery software reliable third party tool can reduce the scope of corruption and recover the lost digital data.

I read about Recuva, but, got the impression it would not recuva from the camera's internal memory itself, as opposed to recuva'ing from a card.
I'll revisit though...Thanks for the tip! |
Recuva sounds like the newest thing in male enhancement drugs. If Recuva finds your pictures for more than 4 hours, consult the Cellar.

when you connect the camera to the computer how does the computer perceive the camera? as a removable drive?

His is a Kodak, so Ima assume it shows the same way mine does.
My puter sees a usb storage device called Kodak MD41, my cam's model #. But, I have yet to find a freebie recovery program that sees my camera at all. And I don't understand that. DiskDigger don't see it. PCI Data Recovery doesn't either. About five others stated plainly they worked on card-type media only. |
