The Cellar Production of Kurt Weill's Threepenny Opera
I was listening to the Threepenny Opera today and thought Pirate Jenny's song could very well be Infi's theme song, then I got to thinking about casting the whole production with other dwellars.

Well, let's see. Who around here has mad knife skilz?
|
Ha! Love it.

I'll take Jenny.
Just because she gets to sing the Tango Ballad. First time I heard Sally's Song in The Nightmare Before Christmas I knew it had to be a tribute. Although I've never heard that acknowledged. I'd rather be Sally of course. So you can just stick me in the chorus of whores and beggars, I guess :) |
Can I be the shark - whore?

I saw Sting as Mac the Knife in a 1989 or 1990 performance of this play at the National Theater. It was a good show.
|
Ooh I've heard of Mac the knife. Not sure why, no idea who owns it. My knife is called Steve.
|
Infi, you're cast as Polly.
She merely sings the song Pirate Jenny. Jenny (aka Low-Life Jenny) is another character altogether unconnected to the song Polly sings. That saying, Monster can have the part if she wishes. |

 I'm so confused. Apparently this is a musical I've missed. |
Ballad of Sexual Dependency Sounds interesting, and I am a mezzo soprano. Mrs. Peachem for me, I think.
