Rumors!!
 

I need to set the record straight and stop some of the rumors. Yes medical bills are making money very tight and I have had to give up some meds the VA would not cover. To save money, I gave up my home. I'm in Oxford at a very nice place this week and then I'll move to my new home.

I spent $500 on an old travel trailer and I have set it up "off grid". I can bring water to my holding tanks & I have propane. I plan on getting a small generator after the first of the year.

It is no different than camping. I swear to you I have lived in far worse places while overseas. I see the neurosurgeon on the 19th and if I have surgery, I'd just be wasting money on rent anyway while I was in the hospital.

Thanks to all of you for worrying about me. I'm ok. I'm just cutting back on expenses for awhile

Oh & thank you for the gifts for my kids!! This will really help with their stockings.

As I know all too well, an enforced period of camping that goes on for a while can be a pain in the butt. I know you're warmer down there in Mississippi than we are up here - still December and January must have some chilly moments. Do you have a good sleeping bag? I happen to have an extra one I could send you. PM me if you want it. I also have some nice extra blankets.

Will you be able to have Internet there or are you going to have to go into town to post to us? Are you going to be OK food wise?

I hope you will be comfortable in your new digs. Maybe the Cellar can have a house warming for you. ;)

I'm loving it! I'm having a party with all of my kids on Christmas Eve at my father's house. Then Christmas, they plan to come to my trailer & we'll decorate a living tree with stuff for the birds & deer!

Sam - I'm toasty as a bug in a rug. I have propane heat. Plus, I have all of the winter weather gear that the Army issued me for Kosovo. I could stay warm at the North Pole. The Fire Department even came down & filled up my 250 gallon water tank (bought at TSC). Food? Baby, you have seen my pics. Do you really think I'm going hungry? LOL
