Brassed Off

I was off work sick yesterday ( see my terrible misspeling of Walmart for evidence of my incapacity) and flicking through my Nerflix queue Brassed Off is now available on instant. It's been in my queue for years, the DVD went form long wait to unknown, but for some reason is avaliable to stream now.

I know monster has posted some of the You tube clips elsewhere. skip to 15 minutes for 'Orange Juice' and 1h 20 min for the championship winning 'charge of the light brigade' also shortly after this they play "land of hope and glory' when driving past parliament on an open top bus and into the end credits.

It's listed as comedy and has some humerous moments, but is actually quite tragic.

Also I don't know if there are English subtitles ;)

I kept trying to think where I'd heard of this.

I think my transplanted to NZ ex sis in law told me about it.

I saw it years ago. (Had I remembered it I would have put it in HLJ's movie thread. Like Dana, when it comes to lists like these I cant remember anything either.)

Whats tragic is that Pete Postlethwaite is gone.
