Unknown Smartphone Symbols

I've googled it. I've looked for manuals. I can't find it.

My phone developed a new icon in the top right side. It's 3 sets of squiggles (sort of looks like Ws or Ms set on their sides.)

What is it?

My phone did its own update a while back, I think that's when it appeared. Dropping down the bar doesn't tell me anything about the icons on the right side.

HELP?

edit: should be more specific. It's a Motorola Droid 2 with Verizon.

I found that link but it isn't pictured there. Bluetooth isn't on.

Thanks, though.

Is it a signal strength icon?

infinite monkey 09-23-2011 01:21 PM

Like this, only a lot tinier. And straighter.

It's in vibrate mode?

D'oh!

Yeah, I unchecked "silence all except media and alarms" and it went away.

What. A. Maroon. <------ ME

Thanks peeps.

Hmmm, so maybe the smartphone wasn't the most appropriate choice in this case.

You have been wired. It is a new Homeland Security feature. But the law says you must be notified. So they include squiggly lines with bug software.

Yet another reason I'm glad to keep my dumbphone. It texts, and makes phone calls.

My phone don't take pictures, and my camera don't take calls.
