What is up with my eye?
Making an appointment with my Ophthalmologist tomorrow morning, this thread is to document...
...ever look at a bright light and still see a shadow of the light for a few moments? Sure ya have For me it's like that for the last week and a half, and has not gone away. Hasn't gotten worse either. But there it is interfering with my vision. Spexx you can throw in your two cents if you like, I do already have a proper Opth. that I like, and they have a baseline record on me from only four months ago, so that's good. But while I wait I am kinda on edge. You can imagine. Am I down for some laser repair surgery or is it gonna be like this for life? |
Yikes, sounds like cataracts.
Which can be fixed. My dad got new eyes because of it and where he was once really nearsighted, he now sees 20/20.
Are you saying that you see a shadow that's always there?
Yes, it's approximately round, and it sits in the middle of my field of vision. It moves a little, but not as much as a floater.
I am not an eye doctor, nor do I play one on TV. My first thought was floater. Sometimes, they don't move. It's good to get it checked, though. Most times your eye reabsorbs floaters.

Maybe an alien implant??
Friggin Lizardmen, its always something with them.
Can you see through the shadow, or is it an opaque space?

It's just a darker area, I can see through it and it's more pronounced as I blink.
This happened to me a few years ago. I think I posted about it here. It went away after a while. Was a mild swelling on the back of my retina. Annoying.
Torn retina, perhaps? Spexx?

Have you checked the mirror? Maybe you forgot to remove your eye patch.
