August 23, 2011 Inferno
I don't think this is what the manufacturer had in mind.
http://cellar.org/2011/inferno.jpg Apparently from a grease fire. (But I can't find my original link.) |
mmmmmm... irony.

mmmmmm.... literally.

For what it is worth, the trailer design looks like a "Toy Hauler"--one designed to carry motorcycles, quads and other grown up playthings.
In that case, not only is the trailer a loss but so is (are) the $10K-$100K worth of accessories. (And if the operator can't get the truck detached, there goes another pile-o'-cash.) |

Well I guess they wont be leaving the oven on in the next one while they're driving will they!

The photographer's vehicle was moving at the time the picture was taken. See how the truck&trailer appear slanted, with elliptical wheels? That's because many digital cameras have an apperture which is a horizontal slit which sweeps across the light-detecting chip: in this case we can see that the slit swept from top to bottom, because the lower part of the picture appears further "behind" the moving photographer's vehicle than the upper part of the picture. You can get interesting distortion effects if you use that kind of camera to take a picture while swinging it around in big circles at arm's length.

Oh, and I thought the driver of the Pickup was just haulin ass trying to get away from the fire :/
