From drop down menus: Format - fonts - then check the 'superscript' box.

Under Insert>Object, find Microsoft Equation. This is a rich group of math symbols that are inserted into your text like the resulting box was just another letter.

It may take a little experimenting on a separate document. But you can embed equations, fancy Greek symbols, and numerous other math related text right into a paragraph. You can even move the 'squared' number up, down, close, or more right (away) from the 10. Or enter any other power.
