Could You Pass the Naturalization Test?

The Christian Science Monitor has the Naturalization test online.
96 questions, and you must answer 58 correctly to pass. 92% of them thar ferriners do, can you?
I got 90, one I misread the question, one I knew but had a clicking finger fart, and one I'll argue to my dieing day I'm right and they're wrong. :p:

I'm right with you Bruce, everyone knows the Celts were a native American tribe.

87/96 I got hammered on the questions about the structure of the gov't- always been weak on that.
The question about the colonists fighting the British was a shitty question. I highly doubt that the british garrisoning troops in people's houses was the reason we went to war. I really think it was much more about lack of self governance. But then, that was a long time ago and my memory may be a bit fuzzy.

84, but I misread a couple questions. should have got an 86 i guess. can I stay?

No, selective service. There is no selective service so nobody must sign up.

It depends on what you mean by "must". You are still supposed to, by law, but I imagine that enforcement is a bit more lax now than it was during Vietnam.

[edit]I think that one enforcement method is a passport application.

I got 91/96, one wrong answer was a mouse slip.

Gravdigr 01-17-2011 03:39 PM

When I turned eighteen I had to register...1986 though.

Gravdigr 01-17-2011 03:41 PM

Oh hell no. The site is slow as shit for me right now. No way I'm spending that much time on this. Maybe tonight.

It's taken a minute to navigate through answering 3 questions. I'll stop there. I got them all right though.
