Nov 11, 2010: Big Hardhat
Actually it's not representing a hardhat, it's representing a bump cap.
But it's really the "Largest sculpture made from recycled materials", certified by Guinness.

Quote:
The sculptor, Rafael Melida and his team had spent 1,239 hours on this project over the last 3 months. All the plastic helmets were made with recycled plastic especially for this sculpture. They had been diligently ordered and then soldered onto a metal frame by the team of sculptors after students at the Univeristy of Huelva aided the collection of all these helmets.
Measuring 10.4 m x 7.8 m x 6.1 m the sculpture easily exceeded the Guinness World Records imposed minimum of 5 m x 5 m x 5 m for this new record category.

Soldered? Plastic? Hmmm.
I suppose it could be used for a picnic pavilion.
