Leave of absence...
 

Hi old cellar friends,
Sorry to have been away so long! Its been a bit crazy in my world, and the short version is that I started a year-long leave of absence from my work to complete my graduate program. I have been a ft student and ft worker since 2006 and finally this academic year I can just focus on school. I have said that I will go back to my job, but a lot can happen in a year--they might not want me back, and/or I might not want to go back.

Work was starting to really mess with my head for all the usual reasons. I scored some funding to make the leave possible, which also allowed me the sweet moment of telling my supervisors that another organization wanted to pay me (more) to do my thang. I am doing a lot of writing this fall then plan to do some study in the UK after the new year. I know its going to fly by, so I'm trying to savor it and keep open to what opportunities emerge... saying yes to stuff and taking chances. Time for some new adventure, eh?!

Hey lady! Good to see you around. I'm going to assume that by "a lot of writing this fall" you mean posts on the Cellar, right?
