Sept 1, 2010: OMG A Rainbow
This F-22 is shedding a lot of water from it's 45 ft wingspan.
http://cellar.org/2010/f22rainbow.jpg The shape of an airplane wing forces air over the top to travel faster, which causes lower pressure and cooler temperatures. In the right conditions, the cooling causes the air to shed water, and when the Sun is at the right angle, iridescence. Other features of the aircraft, like cockpits, will cause condensation also. |
Hector will totally love that pic. Thanks
